SAL PIRO, QUEEN FOR A DAY, AS THE ICE PALACE  CELEBRATES SAL’S SIXTY-ITH BIRTHDAY!

        Pine’s  Valerie Perez shares the Royal Box with Sal looking very much like Queen for a  Day
          The tribute  video of Sal through his 20 years with the Ice palace showed a very animated  man – in various modes of Dame Edith – and bio tidbits interspersed throughout  referenced Sal’s fascination and expertise with Scrabble and his dedicati9n and  close association with the Rocky Horror Show
        The cast of adorers : in performance , Dallas DuBois,  Dell Harbin, Ginger Moore ,Gusty Winds, Rose Levine, Brandon Cutrell, Porsch, Charity,  Philomena, Bella, The Mamas & The Papas, Ginger Moore; in amusing  anecdotes: Valerie Perez, Dominic De Santis,  the Lifeguard Laurie,  the Freedner  Twins, , Panzi, Ariel Sincair,and Shannon Liguori (Sal’s’ sister)
        
        Dallas Du  Bois delivered a rousing rendition of “I Can’t Do It Alone”
        
        
          Panzi , in  a rare moment au natural onstage  warned “every time Sal asks me to talk he doesn’t talk to me for months…I’ve  know him for 30 years…he is responsible for many magic moments here like  getting Rose Levine and Jeannie Lieberman on the same stage…we have a love/hate  relationship since his 40th birthday”

          It’s the  fifth season for Broadway Belter Brandon Cutrell known for his show time ballad  for Miss Fire Island as he sang “I Wish I could Go Back to College” (don’t we  all)

          The  Freedner twins, Ruth and Susan, were in every show Sal directed – Ruth thanking  him again for “Mr. Cellophane…My best solo number” joked about their index  cards for each show. Their first show was “Who Killed Rose Levine?”
        
          Philomena  spent 35 years with Sal

         after  a video montage and tribute to the closeness’ of Sal and his sister Shannon  Langoria, she came up and told he changed her life – it was very touching “You  gave me your hand and an open heart and I love you forever for that”
